My Cart - In a recent article found in HDTV Test, it was reported that Panasonic is releasing a new flat screen television. This model is called the Panasonic AX900, and is being marketed as the AX902 in the UK. It will come in 58, 60 and 65-inch screen sizes. In October last year, Panasonic announced that they would no longer produce plasma televisions. This was seen as a huge blow to Panasonic enthusiasts, because they had acquired an excellent reputation for plasma television sets with extremely crisp pictures.
Despite the sad fact that Panasonic are no longer making plasma televisions, the AX900/AX902 achieves plasma grade picture quality using LED LCD technology. There is not an exact release date for this model, and the exact specifications of this 4K UHD are yet to be revealed. However, it is believed that the AX900 will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2014. It is likely that Panasonic will use the World Cup to help them generate sales for the release of their other new model, the Panasonic Viera AX802.
The Panasonic Viera AX802 uses an LCD panel with 4K UHD resolution, 2000Hz Back Light Scanning technology, a 4K Intelligent Frame Creation engine and it is also capable of 3D as well. The exact prices of the AX802 are yet to be released, but it will most likely be a considerable amount of money.
