Panasonic in a Nutshell

Here at Electronic World, we want the best for our customers, which is why we always offer you the best cheap TV deals. Included in this is our range of Panasonic 4K TVs, which is why today we’re taking a look at the brand and what their TV technology has to offer.

Japanese electronics company, Panasonic, have been striving to provide a better living for their customers since they were founded in 1918. They offer an extensive range of goods, from personal and health care products such as hairdryers and toothbrushes to kitchen appliances such as microwaves, bread-makers and rice cookers.

In this article though, we’re providing you with everything you need to know in order to decide whether they’re the best choice of brand for your new television.

Panasonic’s Technology

Are you a gamer? A movie buff? Or do you just enjoy a quality display to watch the latest great TV on? Panasonic has it all, with some of the best tech on the market to suit everyone’s needs. Let’s take a look.

Game Mode Extreme

New for 2021, Panasonic’s gaming feature, Game Mode Extreme, cuts lagging time down and optimises the picture using artificial intelligence. The AI processor automatically adjusts in line with the sound and image, so you’re guaranteed to never miss a thing. Perfect for those moments when every move matters. If gaming is up your street, check out our range of cheap OLED TVs as this feature is currently only available on Panasonic’s OLED displays.

HCX Pro AI Processor

Panasonic’s Hollywood Cinema eXperience (HCX) analyses the colours, contrast and clarity on screen in order to always display the most optimised image possible. It works with AI, much like Game Mode Extreme, which means that the images on display are identified and then continuously and automatically updated. Also included in this technology is a professional colour-correcting system.

It analyses the image on screen several times and provides the most optimal picture on a scene-by-scene basis. Fun fact: Panasonic joined forces with Hollywood colourist, Stefan Sonnenfeld to develop this tech in order “to deliver picture quality true to the director’s creative vision”.

Filmmaker Mode

Panasonic now support Filmmaker Mode, which has been backed by some of Hollywood’s greatest creatives including Christopher Nolan, director of Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight Trilogy.

With a tap of a button on your remote, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to the sets of these blockbusters. The pre-set TV mode switches off certain in-TV systems such as sharpening and motion smoothing in order to present the picture as the creatives behind them intended.

This excellent technology is best enjoyed on a quality display so browse our range of cheap 4K TVs to find the Panasonic TV for you.

Dolby Vision IQ

Described by Panasonic as an “unforgettable, immersive experience”, Dolby Vision IQ brings the cinema screen straight to your TV. The perfect match for your Smart TV, our Panasonic TVs loaded with this high-quality technology are the best option for those who love a movie night – or day!

It doesn’t matter if you’re watching in a dimly lit room, or right by a window on a sunny afternoon, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts the colour on your display in order to provide you with the brightest, clearest image at all times.

Take a look at our range of cheap smart TVs, which come ready with all your favourite streaming services, so you can get back that cinema experience we’ve all been missing.

my Home Screen 6.0

Panasonic’s smart TV operating system, my Home Screen is now on version 6.0, which is full of great new updates and features to maximise your TV experience. The On Timer allows you to relax and sleep easy knowing that your TV will automatically switch itself off after a certain amount of time after you select the feature.

Additionally, my Scenery is filled with an array of relaxing images and videos – perfect for winding down and getting ready for bed after a hard day’s work. The interface is user-friendly and attractive, so you’re guaranteed to find your way around easily and without getting lost.

VRR

Variable Refresh Rate, or VRR, much like Games Mode Extreme works to ensure that you don’t miss a second of gaming by eliminating any visual glitches on screen. But don’t just think this is only useful for gaming purposes – 4K TVs also depend on technology such as VRR in order to continuously display a smooth, glitch-free image. On Panasonic’s latest models down to and as well as their JX940 LED TV, there are two HDMI ports. Both of which will support HDMI2.1, which is what is needed to host VRR.

You should now be fully equipped with everything you need to know about the technology that Panasonic has to offer. We have written a similar article looking into Sony’s tech – to see how this compares and to get a better idea about the brands we stock, why not give it a read?
