What Helps Us to Keep Our Prices So Low?

When buying a new TV, many people will spend hours looking through deals to find the right price for the right device. Most consumers will look for brands they know and trust for reliability, whilst others will go with the lowest price they can find, regardless of make.

Our TVs are often a fraction of the price of buying them directly from big retailers, but often we have hesitant buyers who can’t quite understand why we can offer discount TVs and sometimes shave hundreds off the same devices they find online. The answer is quite simple; we offer graded stock as opposed to devices which are classed “brand new”.

What Is Graded Stock?

There are many reasons bigger brands and retail stores cannot sell these TVs, but that does not mean it is entirely useless or cannot provide excellent viewing. Graded stock covers a variety of products, from refurbished items to end-of-line, brand new in the box. Quite often, the products have been returned. Alternatively, they are display items that can no longer be sold as brand new.

Returned Stock

Many of our graded TVs have come from stores or brands that have received them as returns. However, just because they have been returned does not mean it has been due to their lack of function. Customers could have changed their mind on a product, taken it home to find it was too small or too big for where they require it, or the packaging could have been damaged on delivery, but the device could still be perfectly fine.

Unfortunately, if you return an item to the store, a large portion of the time, the store will have to return it to the manufacturers at a cost. Many stores will not wish to pay to return an item or have the facilities to resale it themselves because of store policy. This is where we come in. We will collect the TV and bring it to our TV warehouse in Birmingham.

Manufacturers Stock

A significant portion of our stock will come from the manufacturers themselves. Most of the time, these devices could be end-of-line products they have not been able to sell and can no longer offer. They can be surplus stock from stores they have been unable to sell before another line of devices arrives. Alternatively, as mentioned above, they could be display items which cannot be sold as brand new devices as they have been used in-store.

For whatever reason a manufacturer cannot sell a device, they will offer them to us for resale as graded stock.

What Happens When We Get The Stock?

When we receive a delivery of new stock unable to sell, we will grade the devices depending on the condition they arrive. These grades are Grade A, Manufacturer Grade B, Grade B and Grade C.

Grade A – These devices have not been used but have signs of being handled. This could mean a small scratch on the frame or base from damaged packaging. The screen will be in pristine condition and working well.

Manufacturer Grade B Stock – Sometimes, when manufacturers have returned items which have had damage, they will fix the device themselves but cannot sell it as brand new, even though the work has been done as if it was a new product. Unless stated otherwise, these TVs will have been thoroughly tested and come with a manufacturing guarantee.

Grade B – These TVs will have come from manufacturers who have no facility to refurbish an item or sell with a graded system. Once again, these devices will be nearly new, just unable to sell as new products.

Grade C – If a product has been returned or part of clearance or a display model, these TVs will be graded C. Grade C devices will most likely have signs of use, and their guarantees vary.

Once we have graded the devices we receive, our experts will conduct a comprehensive technical inspection. We will identify any fixes or cleaning that must be carried out and re-package the item ready to find new life with one of our customers looking for cheap LED smart TVs.

Our Low Prices Reflect the Source, Not the Stock

We can shave hundreds of pounds off the price of our TVs because often, we will get them ourselves for low costs. Manufacturers and bigger distributors will sell a “Job-Lot” of stock they cannot sell in one go, saving them time in repairs and making a small amount of money. Once we have ensured that the products are in working condition, we can pass these savings on to our customers.
