Do you remember a time before Netflix was around? What did we do with our evenings? Did binge-watching shows even exist? Another month is nearly upon us, meaning more content coming to Netflix for us to indulge in. Already this year has brought film delights such as Scarface and Thor: Ragnarok, and even Netflix originals Jessica Jones (Season 2) and Marvel’s Luke Cage.

Anne with an E (Season 2)

When? 6th July

Anne with an E is a Canadian drama series based on the 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables. The second season continues telling the story of Anne, the little orphan who has found herself a new family. An intriguing premise, the first season was told through the eyes of the 14-year-old protagonist.

Orange is the New Black (Season 6)

When? 27th July

Since the first episode premiered in 2013, Orange is the New Black has dominated Netflix. The award-winning and critically acclaimed prison series centres around a diverse group of inmates serving time. The gripping series will return next month with the sixth season following the unique mix of characters, as we witness more drama!

Somebody Feed Phil (Season 2)

When? 6th July

Everybody loves food, it’s a simple fact of life. Everybody dreams of travelling to far and wide places, this is also a fact of life. Combine the two and what do we get? Much beloved Travel Docuseries have excelled to popularity in recent years due to the rise of the enigmatic chef; Rick Stein, Gordon Ramsay and the late Anthony Bourdain to name a few.

This month Netflix brings back Phil Rosenthal’s Somebody Feed Phil for a much-awaited second season, and this time around we see Phil travel to Venice, Buenos Aires, New York, South Africa, Ireland and Copenhagen.

This crime action thriller is based upon the 2006 novel of the same name. The exciting new series centres around the urban chaos of modern-day Mumbai, with the lives of the privileged, the famous and the wretched. The series revolves around a police officer who is tipped off on the location of a crime lord. As their lives collide, it exposes the trappings of a bigger game.

When? 20th July

If it’s got Adam Sandler’s name on it, it’s a guaranteed all-out hilarious adventure with familiar faces and all of the gags you would expect from the King of modern day comedy. David Spade stars as a recent college graduate who gets into an altercation with his friend about whose father is better. The coming-of-age comedy is set to hit Netflix screens July 20th.
