What types of products are sold by Electronic World?
electronicworldtv.co.uk sells 'graded' products'. These are televisions that High Street retailers can't sell for whatever reason and so they send them to us in bulk. The TVs might be either surplus stock, end of line, discontinued models, 30 days customer returns or unwanted presents. When we receive our deliveries from High Street retailers the televisions are generally in an 'as new' condition but they may have packaging that is damaged or very minor, hardly noticeable cosmetic blemishes. Our engineers will test the TVs to ensure they are technically perfect and then they are repackaged with a full 12 months warranty.
 
Before sale on this website, all televisions undergo a comprehensive quality control process by our engineers. All the TV sold are supplied with user manual and remote control. If the TV had its original boxed packaging when it came in to our warehouse we will supply it, if not we will supply other secure packaging to keep the TV well protected in transit. All TVs have a perfect unmarked screen. The casing is usually in an excellent unmarked condition but on rare occasions there may be very minor superficial cosmetic hairline scratches. These are ignorable and will not be anything to distract your viewing pleasure, usually very minor, only seen when you physically stand right infront of the TV and inspect it closely.

Where are the Electronic World collection points?
We have 6 branches across the country where you can collect your purchase:

Please select one of the branches where you would like to collect from and we will arrange for the TV to be available for collection from there. For more information on branch addresses please see the "Store Locator" on the bottom right of the website
 
All TVs are stored in the Birmingham distribution centre and will be transferred to the Electronic World depot of your choice once you have placed your order.

I don't want to buy online. Can I buy over the phone?
We have a dedicated sales team who are ready to take your order over the phone. Please call us on 0845 539 9993.
 
When buying over the phone you can reserve the TV by putting down a £50 deposit by card over the phone and then you can pay the rest on collection by cash or card.

How do I collect my order?

At the ‘shopping cart’ stage you can select any 1 of our 6 Electronic World depots from which to collect your purchase. For full address details and opening times of each depot please see the ‘store locator’. Electronic World will contact you via telephone or email to arrange collection. You cannot turn up to collect your purchase until we have confirmed your purchase is ready for collection (collection can be made usually within a few days of buying).

What happens when I go to collect my TV?
You will be shown the TV switched on and demonstrated for your complete peace of mind. You will have a chance to inspect the TV. You will be asked to show ID on collection. This is proof of address and must have your name and card billing address details on and is to ensure we hand the TV to the right person. If you send a friend or family memener to collect on your behalf please send them with your ID.

If I am not happy with my TV on collection can I have a refund?
Yes, we want our customers to be 100% happy with their purchase, so if when you go to collect your TV you are not happy we will give you a full refund. You will be given a full demonstration of the TV on collection so you have a chance to make sure you are satisfied before you take the TV away.

If I do not like the TV on collection can I have a full refund?
Yes. When you go to collect the TV if you are not 100% satisfied you can request a full refund. If you have paid over the internet we will reverse your full payment online. If you paid a deposit by card over the phone we will refund this deposit in full.

How can I pay for my goods?
At electronicworldtv.co.uk you can pay online where we accept all major credit and debit cards. All your personal information, including your card details, names and addresses are encrypted by using the industry-standard Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
Alternatively you can ring our sales team on 0845 539 993 to pay a £50 deposit by card over the phone and then you can pay the balance on collection by cash or card.
We accept all cards except American Express. We do not add extra charges if you pay by credit card.

You can also pay for goods offline by cheque. Please call our sales team on 0845 539 9993 if you want to pay by cheque.

How long will Electronic World hold the TV for me before I collect it?
We will ring you on the day the TV is ready for collection. After this point we will hold the TV at your chosen branch for 2 weeks before it is sent back to Birmingham distribution warehouse. If you cannot collect within 2 weeks please let us know.

Do you deliver goods?

We do not offer a delivery service, however there are 6 conveniently located Electronic World depots across the country where you can collect your purchase. Please use the 'store locator' to select the Electronic World collection depot most convenient to you.

What should I do after I have finished shopping?

After you have finished shopping, and you have added all products into the shopping basked you must enter your name, telephone number and an email address. These details are required so Electronic World can contact you to discuss collection times. You must click the next box to confirm you have read and agreed with our terms and conditions to proceed. Then you must click on the ‘click here to check out’ icon:

Why do I have to wait to collect my order?

Electronic World will be in contact after you have placed your order to let you know the TV is ready for collection. The reason you can’t go immediately to collect is because all stock is stored in Birmingham and must be transferred to your chosen collection depot. We do 2/3 deliveries a week to each Electronic World depot so you should not have to wait more than a few days to collect your order.

What do I need to take with me when I go to collect my purchase?

When you come to collect your purchase you must bring with you the following:

1) Proof of name and address - this must have your name and card billing address details on, e.g. bank/card statement, utility bill, full driving license (not provisional license). Please note a passport is not an acceptable form of ID because it does not have your address on

2) Payment method - you should bring the card you made payment with

Can I send a courier to collect from/return a TV to an Electronic World depot?
No, we will not allow a courier to collect any purchase from us on your belhalf. This is because we always demonstrate the TV on collection for your peace of mind, and we also check your ID to ensure we are handing the TV over to the right person. Neither will we accept any return TV sent by a courier. All purchases made from Electronic World must be collected/returned in person by the buyer or a friend/family member

I don't want to buy online. Can I visit an Electronic World branch and buy direct from there?
If you do not want to buy a TV online you can visit the Electronic World showroom in Birmingham from where you can buy direct. Please note the Birmingham showroom has a limited number of TVs and does not stock ALL the TVs you see on this website. If you want a specific model please ring them at the showroom on 0121 328 0623 to check the stock availability.
 
Birmingham is the only location with a showroom. All other Electronic World branches around the country are collection points only for TVs sold online. You cannot visit these branches to view stock before you buy. You must buy online first, and then your order will then be transferred to your chosen collection point.

Can I send a friend/family member to collect my purchase on my behalf?
Yes, you can send a friend/family member on your behalf, but they MUST take with them your ID so we can ensure we are handing the TV to the correct person. They must bring with them 1) credit/debit card from which payment was made and 2) proof of address that matches the details on the order eg driving license, utility bill or bank/card statement

Will the TV be packaged/boxed?
We will supply the TV boxed or bubble wrapped. In either case you can be sure that the packaging provided will be completely adequate to get the TV home safely.

When is my order confirmed?
You will be sent an email automatically after you have placed an order with Electronic World. This email confirms that payment has been received for the purchase. The email does NOT confirm that the TV is ready for collection.
Once the TV is ready for collection from your chosen Electronic World depot we will telephone you. Electronic World reserves the right to cancel the order at any point

How do I search for a product?

There are 4 ways you can search a product on the home page

2)     To search by specific brand use the “Search by Brand” function (left on home page)

3)     To search by brand and screen size use the “Quick Search” (left on home page)

4)     To search using brand, screen size and features use the “Advanced Search”. This is the most detailed way to search (left on home page).

How can I change the contents of my shopping basket?

How do I enter my credit card details?

You will be taken to our secure server to enter your credit card details automatically. Once this is complete you will be sent an email to confirm Electronic World has received the order and then another email to confirm authentication and delivery.

We must collect your name, address, email address, telephone numbers and card details when you place an order. This allows us to authorise your card process and collect payment.
