Samsung to Launch New OLED TVs Before Olympics

At CES 2012, Samsung premiered the current largest OLED display available, a television measuring 55” in screen size. Samsung wanted to make it clear that the release date for these televisions was going to be earlier than the Olympics so that the early adopters of OLED technology can enjoy the games in the very highest quality available on the market.

Is Modern TV more Accessible?

Television, both as an entertainment industry and an art-form, has changed and evolved a lot in the decades since its introduction. It used to be an industry that was seemingly very ‘top down’ in the sense that large studios and production companies would dictate what we would watch, aided in part by the fact that we had fewer channels to choose from. However, as the cost of TV production comes down the television industry is becoming much more accessible both for consumers and independent producers.

LCD and LED Televisions

Television has been a staple appliance in any home for several years now. Although this has never wavered and doesn’t look as though it will in the foreseeable future, the television sets that we use have changed. From starting with CRT and cathode sets which were big, bulky and gave a poor quality picture, televisions have bloomed over the years and are now almost unrecognisable from this description.
